Forever Annual / 30th - SKI THE BEAV!

Hey Wood Bloggers.....

This week marks the 30th Annual SKI THE BEAV for the Wood family, and it was one that will go down in the history books. As you will see from the pics/videos below, STB is full of FUN, FOOD, FRIENDS, GAMES, and GREAT SKIING....

Read on and remember our slogan for STB..... YIPPY SKIPPY!

The drive to the Beav is always an adventure with a stop in Evanston and shopping at Wally's. This year the 1st day is a Daddy/Daughter Day, and YES, we are driving in STYLE!

We awake to a BEAUTIFUL DAY, however....

... before we can hit the slopes, Tara needs to finish her homework assignment from work and so Dad enjoys the rest of the reading of "FISH" (I could get used to having my cute daughter read to me... :-) )
Choose Your Attitude, Play, Be Present, & Make Their Day!

Finding the RIGHT parking place is KEY and often others have different ideas then Dad...

GREAT FRIENDS & FAMILY!!

Mom, who is that wierd big guy with the camera??

The Party Animals Arrive...... YIPPY SKIPPY!

Let's get ready to RAMBLE....

Mom, puts ice on her black eye.... THANKS LOLA!

A little food, song and dance, as you will see, are key for a great day on the slopes!

Stay warm while riding the lift and HUG YOUR HONEY!

Hey Neighbors.......

Where's your GREEN coat?
Here, take this pill and it will take the pain away.....
..... YEA, I'm feeling GOOD!

A cool custom clock....
Somtimes the road gets a little slippery....
Great Vistas on and off the slopes....

The HOT "TUBE" is the BEST!

Gingerbread with the Woods

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without gingerbread. As always, Jodi creates the funniest event of the season... THX! The Wood home was favored with the Storey family this year, and as you will see Santa would hire these decorating elves without any hesitation.
Before you start the games, you must have FOOD!

MAN, you guys have GREAT TEETH!

 Let the GAMES BEGIN......

 Steve Jobs, we LOVE YOU!

Joey, watch out for that TREE.......

A dancer, made by the dancer... :-)

We're BACK!

After 4.5 months, Randy & Anna have come back from their honeymoon. Yes, they left their wedding reception and we haven't seen them since. Off to the Outer Banks for the honeymoon, rent a car and drive to their new little apartment in Washington, DC, and start law school at GW and get a new job. WOW, what an adventure.

Randy, as you will see and hear, was a little disappointed that there were NO SIGNS when he arrived. WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT??

WELCOME BACK!

The Girls Are Back.... LET'S GO SHOPPING!

 I LOVE my Randy

Oh NO... Look out lighted reindeer... :-)

Santa & his helper are glad they're back too.....

Don't MESS with Mother Nature!

Hey Gang,

Hope this blog finds you all doing well. Can you believe we are already in the last month of the year. WOW...

Mother Nature came into our neighborhood on 12-1-11 with a vengeance. As you will see from the pictures and videos below, we lost trees that were 75-100 years old. The Wood home was without power for 2 days and temps got to 45 in-side the house. Jodi, Max & Lola weathered the storm, but the old man went to T&Cs for a warm sleep-over..... :-) (Thanks T&C)

 OUCH!

 Power Poles snap like toothpicks

The winds and a large tree branch broke titles on the old roof

November - Remember the OLD DOGs

Hey gang..... Yes, it's Mr. Blogster and I'm impressed to post a blog to remember the OLD DOGs. November is now going to be the official OLD DOG month. There are a couple of OLD DOGs in the WoodFam that celebrate their birth this month... :-)
The Jodi & Scott Wood Family had to say goodbye to 14 year old Addy this week..... :'(  Max took Addy inside while Jodi cried her heart out waiting in the parking lot. These animals provide a lot of JOY and MEMORIES in our lives.
Happy OLD DOG MONTH

PS - I challenge the rest of you to post a couple of favorites of your OLD DOGs

Hey look, I have a NEW Family

 Where's my dinner?

 Where did Addy go?

 I'M KING OF THE WORLD!

 Prom Night....

I'm sending you on a MISSION....  now work like a DOG!

Having a friend is a lot a fun while you grow old

Hiking with my Dogs is the BEST!

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
